[in response to Edward R. Murrow]

April 1959:
[addressing a crowd of journalists in Washington, D.C.]
“I would like to be asked a little about the good things our Revolution has accomplished. I know you have your worries, and one of them is whether or not we are communists, and I have said very clearly that we are not communists (applause). We are able to talk about our ideals promoting freedom of the press, the right to live, to work, to eat; our Revolution tries to unite all the political and civil rights of our democracy and our social justice.”
